The Home Hardware Midget Legionnaires are off this weekend, after dropping a 6-2 decision to the Notre Dame Hounds on Wednesday night.

Connor Odelein and Tristan Hermanson scored for Swift Current, who fell short in their comeback attempt after Notre Dame jumped out to a 6-0 lead.

Shane Blomquist made 26 saves in the loss.

The Legionnaires now have the week off and are back in action Tuesday when they visit the Hounds again.. They're back home on Thursday when they host the Regina Pat Canadians.

The Diamond Energy Female Midget Wildcats are back home this weekend, after they had their five-game winning streak come to an end last weekend in Melville.

The Wildcats lost the opener 4-1 last Saturday before coming back to beat the Prairie Fire 2-1 in a shootout on Sunday.

They now host the Prince Albert Bears tomorrow and Sunday at the Fairview Arenas, where the Wildcats are unbeaten so far this season.

The K-Motel Midget AA Hurricanes snapped a five-game winless skid on Tuesday night, when they beat the Notre Dame Bantam Hounds 5-3 in Wilcox.

Jordan Wittman, Dylan Rossiter, Kain Stevenson, Colton Adam and Tristan Carey scored for Swift Current, who outshot the Hounds 39-24.

The Hurricanes host the Prarie Storm in their next game Sunday afternoon at the Credit Union iplex.
