Swift Current Broncos defenceman Artyom Minulin is set to compete in the CHL Top Prospects Game tonight in Quebec City.

Minulin is suiting up for Team Cherry.

The 18-year old Russian defenceman has posted 7 goals and 27 assists so far this season.

Broncos Head Coach Manny Viveiros noted Minulin is very deserving of the opportunity to showcase his talent.

“It’s an exciting time for him and an honour for him as well to be projected as a top prospect in our country,” Viveiros said. “It is something he takes a lot of pride in and it is very well deserved with how hard he has worked at it.”

Halifax Mooseheads forward Nico Hischier will captain Team Cherry while Brandon Wheat Kings centre Nolan Patrick will lead Team Orr.

The two are expected to go first and second in the NHL draft this June.

Minulin is currently ranked 49th amongst North American Skaters in the most recent NHL Central Scouting Draft Prospect Rankings.

He will be back with the Broncos as they host Edmonton on Wednesday.
