There will be more racing in Swift Current this weekend, but it's of the two-wheel variety.

The Swift Current Motocross Club is hosting the first of two summer races.  Approximately 200 racers from across Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan will be in attendance.

The local club has between 50 and 60 racers from all ages.

Randy Maffenbeier is a veteran with the club.  He says all ages and all skill levels will compete.  "We have kids that ride the 50cc class that are as young as four years old.  We have participants between 50-55 years old.  They are competing on different sizes of bikes, from 50cc all the way to 450cc."

The track is located just over the hill at the intersection of 11th Avenue NW and the North Service Road.  Signs will be posted.  Gates open Sunday morning at 8:00am.
