Adam Rossignol

Adam Rossignol made his debut with the Swift Current Broncos this weekend, scoring a point over two games on the second line.

The newest Bronco is looking forward to earning a bigger role than he had in Kootenay.

"You always want to go somewhere where you're going to get an opportunity to play and this will be a younger team here, and I hope I have an opportunity to contribute."

The Broncos added Rossignol in a deal for defenceman Tanner Muth. The Surrey native sees himself as a disher.

"I'd say I'm more of a playmaker, I like to set guys up, and whatever you need me to play, I can play (penalty kill), and power play and whatever you need."

Rossignol is hoping to bring some championship pedigree with him to Swift Current.

The 1993 born forward won league championships with Kootenay last season and with the Junior B Aldergrove Kodiaks two years ago.

The Broncos split their weekend road games in Red Deer and Edmonton.

They are now nine points out of a playoff spot heading into tomorrow's WHL trade deadline.
