Swift Current Comp wrestler Aleah Nickel is off to represent her country in Tsu, Japan at the 2017 Saori Cup this upcoming weekend.

Nickel is one of 13 members on Wrestling Canada Lutte's Cadet Team heading over the Pacific for the event on November 4 and 5.

This comes on the heels of a dominant 2017 Canada Summer Games, where Nickel captured a silver medal in the women's 56kg division.

Nickel has been bumped up slightly to the 57 kg division for the Saori Cup, being held at the Sports Center of Tsu Saorina in the city located in east-central Japan.

The Swift Current product, along with the Cadet Team will be staying in Japan for a training camp post-competition from November 5-10 at the same venue.
