This week will see the end of one hockey camp in Swift Current and the start of another.

The Diamond Energy Female Midget Wildcats are wrapping up their camp today at the Credit Union iplex, and were expecting around 45 players to tryout for the hockey team this year. The Wildcats open the regular season September 25, hoping to rebound from last season's first-round playoff exit.

Meanwhile, the Swift Current Broncos will begin their training camp on Thursday, with 80 veterans, rookies and hopefuls on the ice, split into four teams.

The Broncos are expected to have both 2010 CHL Import Draft Selections, Defenseman Richard Nedomlel and Forward Jurai Roznik, at camp this week.

The Broncos start the pre-season September 1 in Moose Jaw before heading to Edmonton for their annual pre-season tournament.
