The Indians are looking to pack the park at Mitchell Field

It's Pack the Park night at Mitchell Field as the Swift Current Indians host Melville.

After a strong crowd of over 400 people took in last night's win over Medicine Hat, Indians Coach Joe Carnahan told us they really get a lift from that kind of atmosphere.

"Oh it's awesome," Carnahan said. "Anytime you can fill the stands up and guys can play in front of that it's just great. The bleachers here are right on top of the field, fans are getting into it and the guys are feeding off of that. It's a great atmosphere."

The Indians head into action against Melville tonight after clinching the WMBL Central Division crown last night.

Carnahan knows it won't be an easy game.

"Melville's a good club. They've got some guys who can swing it, they've got some really good arms and It's going to be a challenge. We've got to come to the park from pitch number one, try to play better defensive and get on them early.

Pack the Park night is put on by Golden West Radio's Country Music Radio, Magic 97 and The Eagle 94.1 FM.

We will broadcast tonight's game live tonight on The Eagle 94.1 at 6:50pm.
