It was a long wait but finally in the 7th and final round, a pair of Swift Current Bronco defenseman had their names called.

The Atlanta Thrashers used the 205th pick overall to take Paul Postma.  Just two picks later, the New Jersey Devils drafted Ryan Molle.

For Postma the wait was excruciating to say the least.

"It got frustrating at the end I'm not going to lie" Postma said as if the weight of the world had been lifted off his shoulders.

"I was a little frustrated and a little nervous and kind of started to lose hope but then right at the end my name came up and I got the call.  I'm just really relieved and excited at the same time and it's really a great feeling."

The news wasn't all good for the Broncos.  Defenseman Eric Doyle was passed over.  He was expected to be a mid-round selection.
