A pair of lop-sided wins this weekend for the Regina Thunder and Saskatoon Hilltops in the Canadian Junior Football League.

The Hilltops, with former Swift Current Colts offensive linemen Johnathan Chisholm and Cole Shatosky on the roster, hosted the Ottawa Sooners.

Saskatoon won 49-15, bringing their record to 3-0.

Meanwhile, the Regina Thunder traveled down east to take on the Hamilton Hurricanes.

Former Colts Brock Myers, Zachery Stenberg, Tristan Lockman, and Pearce Targerson-Jones were in southern Ontario for a 61-7 win over Hamilton.

The Thunder are tied for third place in the Prairie Football Conference at 2-1, one game back of the Hilltops and Edmonton Huskies.

In more southwest football news, former Gull Lake Lion Jacob Anderson and the U of S Huskies traveled to McMaster University for preseason action - the Huskies fell 22-10.

The Huskies open their regular season Friday, September 1, when they travel to Winnipeg to take on the University of Manitoba Bisons.
