A pair of now-former Shaunavon Shadows football standouts will be continuing their game at the post-secondary level.

Both Nixen Voll and Corbin Nicolson were introduced at the yearly University of Saskatchewan’s ‘Dogs’ Breakfast’ as recruits of the Huskies’ football program late last week, before competing in spring camp this weekend.

Voll logged time on both sides of the ball for the 9-man Provincial Gold medal-winning Shadows last season. However at the USports level, the 5-foot-11, 175 pound weapon will be playing DB.

Meanwhile Nicolson, who played both linebacker and running back this past season, will be on the offensive side of the ball.

The powerful 6-foot-3, 220-pounder will be a FB/TE for the Huskies moving forward.

Voll and Nicolson are among 39 Huskies recruits represented across five provinces across.
