Former Swift Current Broncos goaltender Jordan Papirny has earned Canada West all-rookie team honours.

In his first season with the University of Calgary Dinos, Papirny worked an 8-6 record in 15 combine regular season and playoff games, with a .922 save-percentage, 2.24 goals-against-average, and two shutouts.

The Dinos are set to face the U of S Huskies in the Canada West semi-finals after topping UBC in three games in the quarter-finals.

Papirny's stint in the southwest was short, as he came over from the Brandon Wheat Kings as an overage goaltender ahead of last season's trade deadline.

The Edmonton native played 17 regular season games with the Broncos, and was an important part of Swift's success in the post-season. Papirny worked a 7-7 record, earning a 2.48 goals-against-average and .935 save-percentage in seven-game series against the Moose Jaw Warriors and Regina Pats.
