Despite finding the scoreboard first for a second straight night, the Swift Current Broncos were unable to hold on to a lead, as they fell to the Regina Pats in their home opener 4-2.

Trevor Cameron opened the scoring just 1:11 in, but Regina would take a one goal lead going into the second period following back to back powerplay goals. Adam Lowry would score the other Bronco goal with :18 left in regulation. Austin Smith picked up the loss in net, making 23 saves in the contest.

Broncos Assistant Coach, Darren Evjen spoke post-game and said they need to find more offence out of their top players.

Next action for the Broncos is September 28 when they host the Brandon Wheat Kings.
