Jordan Peddle hoists the Ed Chynoweth Cup

Former Bronco and Legionnaire Jordan Peddle and the Edmonton Oil Kings are hopping on a plane to the Memorial Cup in Shawinigan, Quebec.

Peddle was thrilled to help lead the Edmonton Oil Kings to a WHL championship:

"Incredible, this is what I've been playing for my whole career and it's tough to put into words how incredible the feeling is."

He has embraced the playoff style game throughout their championship run.

"The harder the game is played the harder I like to play and the more involved I like to get in the game. The more involved in the game I am the better I play."

Peddle scored 7 points in the 7 game championship series against Portland.

He appreciates the support he's had from former teammates including Justin Dowling and Jordan Evans who took in some of the WHL championship games in Edmonton.

"Dowling and Evans, they made the trip down and they've been really good friends of mine for my whole WHL career and I'm still really close friends with those guys and for them to come down and support me like that and come to watch the game is an awesome feeling."

Now the Ed Chynoweth Cup champions have to re-focus on their Memorial Cup opponents form the OHL and QMJHL.

"We don't really know anything about them so we're going to stick our game plan and just play the way we play hockey."

They open the Memorial Cup on Friday against Shawinigan.
