A silver medal at nationals to end off the baseball season for two members of the Pee Wee ‘AAA’ 57’s.

Playing on Team Sask, Rylan Hildebrand and Riley Bowers helped their team to the gold medal game at Baseball Canada’s 13U National Championships, where they ran into a dominant undefeated Ontario team - Saskatchewan fell 8-0 in the final.

Hildebrand and Bowers capped off the tournament with Team Sask going 4-2 as a team. An 18-8 loss to Quebec to opened up the tournament, but the scrappy 13U squad came back with four straight wins to get to the gold medal game.

For the tournament, Bowers pitched two innings for Team Sask giving up ten runs on eight hits, while striking out four batters. At the plate, the Pee Wee 57 went 1-for-13 with a double and a walk.

For Hildebrand, a .250 average, going 2-for-8 with a double, two RBI, and a walk.

The duo along with Team Sask outscored opponents 50-42 over their six games.
