A tough Saturday had the Pee Wee 'AA' 57's heading home earlier than they would have liked.

Competing at the Pee Wee 'AA' Tier III Provincial in Lloydminster, the 57's won their opening game, but lost twice on Friday leaving them out of the playoffs.

Swift Current was off and running on day one as they had no trouble with the Saskatoon Cardinals winning 10-0.

However, after a 9-4 loss to the Battlefords Beavers to begin their day on Saturday, Swift Current found themselves in a must-win game.

Unfortunately for the 57's they came up just short against the Regina Pacers, falling 4-2.

With the 1-2 record, Swift Current fell short of the tournament's playoff and saw their 2017 season come to an end.
