The SWT Pee Wee Broncos put the wraps on a stellar regular season with a 6-3 win over Moose Jaw on Saturday night.

The team finished league play unbeaten with 14 wins, six ties, and 34 points, two more than second-place Yorkton. The Broncos will get a first-round bye in the league playoffs.

In other minor hockey this weekend, the Evans Brothers Home Hardware Legionnaires were swept in Saskatoon, losing 6-2 to the Blazers and 2-0 to the Contacts. The Legionnaires will visit Yorkton on Tuesday in a make-up game from one that was postponed last week, and then will wrap up the season at home on Friday against the Notre Dame Hounds.

The Diamond Energy Female Midget Wildcats earned a split with league-leading Saskatoon with a 5-1 loss on Saturday and a 5-2 win on Sunday. The Wildcats finished 4th in the league with a 14-11-1-2 record, and will take on the Regina Rebels in the first round of the playoffs. Game one will be Thursday night at the Fairview Arenas.

Meanwhile, Brooklyn Haubrich, Kayla Kirwan and Jasey Book of the Wildcats finished fourth with Team Saskatchewan at the Canada Winter Games in Prince George after losing 5-3 to Alberta in the women's hockey bronze medal game on Friday. Saskatchewan's men's team will now play this week at the games, with Swift Current Broncos Associate Coach Josh Dixon serving as their head coach.

The K-Motel Midget Hurricanes were two-for-three on the weekend, losing 6-5 to Estevan on Saturday and beating the Notre Dame Bantam Hounds 4-0 on Sunday. The Hurricanes also beat the Notre Dame Hounds 4-2 in game one of the provincial south final on Friday, with game two of the series set for this Friday at the Fairview. The Hurricanes will also finish the regular season schedule Tuesday night at home against the Regina Rangers.

The Tarpon Energy Atom Broncos finished the regular season with two losses in Yorkton, falling 6-1 on Saturday and 1-0 on Sunday to finish second in their league.
