Marcus Kouri of the Comp High School flew his way to a record at the provincial High School Track & Field Championships yesterday.
He jumped 7.13 metres in senior boys long jump to win the gold medal and break a provincial record that had stood since 1997.
Also, Alex Gray from the Comp won gold in the midget girls 1500 metres, Greg Rousseaux of the Comp won the boys open quad, and Nixen Voll of Shaunavon won bronze in midget boys long jump.
The event wraps up today in Yorkton.
