The Swift Current Midget AAA Indians tough start to their provincial run continued today in Melville.
Following a 6-2 loss to top ranked Muenster, and a 13-5 loss to the Regina Athletics yesterday, the AAA Indians suffered a 6-4 defeat to the Saskatoon Giants this morning. The team will wrap up their round robin play at 1pm against the North West Pirates.
The Bantam AA Indians were also unable to pick up a win on their opening day, falling 7-6 to Yorkton in Yorkton, however, they managed to find the win column this morning.
The Bantam squad picked up a convincing 12-2 win over the Prince Albert Royals. Next up for the Indians will be a match-up with Unity at 3:00pm this afternoon.
Meanwhile, the Pee Wee AA Indians had a great first day.
The team defeated White Butte 23-0 in their opener, and then downed Lloydminster 8-6. The Pee Wee's will continue their run at 11:30 this morning against Yorkton.
