A matter of days was what Swift Current Broncos head coach and director of hockey operations Dean Brockman forecast for the timeline before they signed the second and final pick from the 2018 CHL Import Draft.

That's exactly what it took, as Brockman announced on July 27 that they were nearing a deal with Finnish defenceman Roope Pynnonen.

Having gotten first-round Import Draft pick Joona Kiviniemi to put pen to paper on a deal, Brockman and the Broncos worked the same fate with Pynnonen's future in the southwest Monday afternoon.

The 5-foot-10, 183-pound Pynnonen was drafted 119th overall in the second round of the 2018 CHL Import Draft.
