The Kabos Bantam 'AA' Raiders are off to the second round in league playoffs.

Hosting the Moose Jaw Warriors Saturday afternoon, already with a 1-0 lead in their best of three game series, the Raiders put the finishing touches on two-game sweep with a 4-2 victory.

A strong first period for Swift Current got them out to an early lead.

Midway through the first period, Reed Jacobson put the Raiders on the board, before Ryland Hornung added a second goal for Swift Current on the power play.

Leading 2-0 in the second period Moose Jaw scored their first goal of the game just over two minutes into the frame.

The Raiders were able to bounce back however.

Swift Current's leading scorer in the regular season, Aaron Toews found the back of the net to restore the Raiders two goal lead, making it a 3-1 game.

In the third, the Warriors once again cut the Swift Current lead to one.

With the score still 3-2 in favour of Swift Current, the Raiders went back on the power play with 9:05 remaining in regulation.

Just seven seconds into the power play, Toews scored his second goal of the period, giving Swift Current a 4-2 lead which they would not relinquish.

Raiders goalie Brad Nyen made 25 saves on 27 shots in the win.

The Raiders will now switch their focus to the Yorkton Terriers.

The Terriers finished in the top spot of the South Division, however, in their two meetings this season the Raiders played Yorkton close both times.

In their first meeting, a four goal third period brought Yorkton back in a 7-6 win over Swift Current, and in their second meeting, the Terriers used an empty netter to secure a 4-2 victory over the Raiders.

Game one of their best of three series will be played tomorrow night in Yorkton.
