The Kabos Bantam AA Raiders dropped a 7-5 decision to the Regina Pat Blues at home Wednesday night, despite holding two four-goal leads.

Tyde Hutchinson had two goals as the Raiders jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the first period, and they led 5-1 midway through the second before Regina rallied with six unanswered goals to win the game.

"It was just a tough loss for the boys who came out and have a huge lead and a good effort for the first 20 minutes just to see it crumble away slowly," said Raiders Assistant Coach Adam Ward. "we just got into our bad habits again, and it seemed like every little mistake that we made cost us, and before we know it, we're tied up and then they get a couple back and we're fighting again."

Ward says not a lot went right in the last 40 minutes of the game and that has been the story of their season.

"Kind of the history of our team this year as we get to a good start, we did almost absolutely everything right in the first period, and we just see the lead crumble away because of our mistakes, and they made us pay," he added.

The Raiders visit Weyburn and Estevan this weekend in their final two games before the Christmas break.

In minor hockey tonight, the Home Hardware Legionnaires head to Moose Jaw to take on the Generals in their last game before the holiday break
