The Rosetown Red Wings made it all the way to the Allan Cup Final, but came up short of the national senior hockey championship.
Shaunavon's J.J. Hunter had the only goal for the Red Wings who lost 4-1 to the South East Prairie Thunder from Manitoba in the final game from Lloydminster.
The Red Wings, which boasted several players from the southwest, was looking to become only the fourth team from Saskatchewan to win the championship, which dates back to 1909.
