This past weekend's 32nd-annual Herbert Stampede saw three southwest competitors secure top-three finishes over the three-day CCA event.

Maple Creek's Logan Resch was the lone winner from the southwest, taking Junior Girls Barrel Racing with a time of 15.55 seconds. The mark was good for a $365.40 payday.

In a tight Steer Wrestling field, Chad Hantelman of Kyle earned a T-2 finish. His time of 4.3 seconds sat a tenth of a second back of first place, and a tenth of a second ahead of a two-way tie for fourth. Hantelman earned $932.40 for the effort.

Lastly, Junior Steer Riding saw Coronach's Orrin Marshall place third with a score of 71. Marshall earned $256.50 with the low-70s mark.

The next southwest stop on the CCA circuit is this coming weekend for the 42nd Kyle Community Rodeo, running August 11-12.
