Get out your calendars and start marking down the dates, the Saskatchewan Roughriders’ schedule for the 2017 CFL season has been released.

The Riders will open their year on Thursday, Jun. 22 in Montreal against Darian Durant and the Alouettes.

They will kick off their home schedule with the first ever regular season game at the New Mosaic Stadium on Canada Day (Saturday, Jul. 1) in a night game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

“Holding our home opener and officially opening the (New Mosaic Stadium) on July 1st is a monumental occasion,” said Riders President and CEO Craig Reynolds. “To be part of the nationwide Canada 150 celebration is an opportunity our organization is grateful for.”

Over the course of the 2017 season, the Riders will play at home on Friday twice, Saturday four times and Sunday three times.

Winnipeg is the only team to visit New Mosaic Stadium twice this season as they will also make an appearance for the annual Labour Day Classic on Sunday, Sept. 3.

The Riders will play at home five times in the first half and on the road four times. They will then play at home four times in the second half and hit the road on five occasions.

Saskatchewan’s first bye week comes in Week 4 and their second is in Week 9.

The Riders will also finish the regular season with back-to-back home games in weeks 19 and 20 when they will host Durant and the Alouettes on Oct. 27 and then Edmonton on Nov. 4.
