The Saskatchewan Roughriders emphatically punched their ticket to the Grey Cup Final with a 27-17 West final victory over the Calgary Stampeders.

They are one win away from their fourth Grey Cup, and their second Cup in three years.

The Green and White had a slow start, trailing 10-0 by the second quarter, but came back to tie it at 10 at half-time with a Chris Getzlaf touchdown and Luca Congi field goal.

The Riders, and the capacity crowd at Mosaic Stadium, shut down Henry Burris and the Calgary offence in the last 30 minutes, with touchdown catches by Andy Fantuz and Rob Bagg in the third quarter.

Darian Durant was solid, despite being slow out of the gate, passing for 204 yards and all three touchdowns.  He says getting to the Grey Cup feels great, adding that "no one said we'll be here but us; no one thought we'd be here but us, and it feels good to prove everybody wrong."

The game was 33 years in the making.  Not since 1976 had Rider Nation hosted a division final, and they were facing the no longer-defending champion Stampeders, whom they beat to clinch the division two weeks ago.

Offensive Lineman Jeremy O'Day had an inspiring message for his teammates in the tunnel prior to the game.  "In order to become the champs, you gotta beat the champs.  They've been saying all week that (the Stampeders) were the champs until someone beat them, and they took that next step, and now they are going to find out the next champs."

The Riders advance to the Grey Cup for the second time in three years, and will face the Eastern Champion Montreal Alouettes for the championship.  The Alouettes pounded the cross-over BC Lions 56-18 in the East Final earlier on Sunday.

The Grey Cup game will be held at Calgary's McMahon Stadium, where it's expected to be as much a sea of green as if it were being held at Mosaic Stadium.  Head Coach Ken Miller says it will be like having a home game in Calgary.  He believes Rider Nation will be there en masse, and looks forward to seeing them there.

Kick-off is Sunday night at 5:00pm.
