The Saskatchewan Roughriders dropped their second straight at home, losing 38-33 to the Eskimos yesterday.

The Green and White held a 22-0 lead over Edmonton in the second quarter, a lead that was quickly erased by the third quarter.

Head Coach Ken Miller says the Riders started out strong, but had ball control issues through the middle part of the game. He says they shot themselves in the foot with a penalty early in the third, and had three two-and-outs before sustaining any kind of drive, and Edmonton was moving the ball all the while.

Quarterback Darian Durant says he's taking the blame for the loss, saying they're not putting plays together like they should and they just have to get better.

The game was not without some close calls... the spot a third-and short late in the game was challenged by the Riders, but it turned out the officials spotted the ball correctly. Then a catch by Weston Dressler in the final two minutes that appeared to be good was ruled incomplete, but was never reviewed despite pleas from the Riders.

The Riders, at 2-2, are now in a three-way tie for first in the west with Calgary and Edmonton, and they face the Stampeders at McMahon Stadium on Saturday Night.
