The Saskatchewan Roughriders were not only handed their first loss of the season last night, they were embarrassed 40-20 by the Calgary Stampeders on the road.

The Green and White got off to a strong start, with the game tied at seven at the half, but the Stamps lit it up in the second half, outscoring the Riders 33-13.

Quarterback Darian Durant struggled after three solid starts, throwing three interceptions. The Rider defense gave up 514 yards of total offence.

Durant tried to put a positive spin on the loss, saying post-game they never expected to go undefeated. He says "we just wanted to win as many games as we could early on... the good thing is it's only game four, and we have 14 more."

The Riders drop to 3-1 and are tied with the Stamps for first in the west. Hamilton comes to Mosaic Stadium Saturday.
