The New York Rangers defeated the Ottawa Senators 1-0 Tuesday night in Game 3 of the best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarter-final series.

Brian Boyle scored the winner. The Rangers now lead the series 2-1. Game 4 is set for Wednesday in Ottawa.

The St. Louis Blues regained home-ice advantage in their series against Patrick Marleau and the San Jose Sharks.

The Blues downed the Sharks 4-3 last night.

Brian Elliott made 26 saves in place of injured Jaroslav Halak.

Zdeno Chara scored the game winning goal with less than 2 minutes left, and the reigning Stanley Cup champion Boston Bruins finally solved playoff rookie goalie Braden Holtby, beating the Washington Capitals 4-3.

The Bruins now lead the series 2-1.
