The South West Sask Roller Derby Association is recruiting this fall for their "Fresh Meat" Program.

"Right now is when we are looking for the majority of our skaters and this is when we really push for our recruitment,” said Roller Derby Trainer Jinger Vitis. “Right now is when the Betties and Veronica’s have time off this is when we can actually focus on new players and "Fresh Meat" and whoever wants to join the club."

Vitis has been working with the "Fresh Meat" Program for the past 3 years and will be running practices every Monday and Thursday’s nights at the Lt. Colonel Clifton Centre.

The Program runs for 16 weeks and is open to men and women 18 years and older.

Women graduating from the program have the choice to then join the B level team the Veronica's or A level team the Redneck Betties depending on skill level, with the men usually joining the referring Program.

Anyone interested in coming out can contact Jinger Vitis at 306-750-7567.
