Vancouver Canucks defenceman Aaron Rome

A big night for former Bronco Aaron Rome, and a couple of local pros in the NHL last night.

Rome scored his second goal in as many games for the Vancouver Canucks in the first period, and that proved to be the game winner as Vancouver held on for a 3-2 win over Los Angeles.

Elsewhere, Stewart Valley's Travis Moen got his fifth of the year as the Montreal Canadiens beat Phoenix 3-2, and Aneroid's Patrick Marleu picked up a pair of power play goals in San Jose's 3-1 win over Minnesota.
