Former Swift Current Broncos defenceman Michal Rozsival has his first Stanley Cup ring.

Rozsival's Chicago Blackhawks erased a 2-1 deficit late in game 6 of the NHL final to beat Boston 3-2 and win the series 4-2.

Bryan Bickell and David Bolland scored 17 seconds apart to stun the Bruins with only 58 seconds left in the third period.

The victory allowed Rozsival to hoist hockey's most storied trophy for the first time in his 15-year professional hockey career.

He was the third person to lift the Stanley Cup after Blackhawks Captain Jonathan Toews and veteran forward Michal Handzus.

The Czech defenceman had 4 assists in 23 playoff games for Chicago.

Patrick Kane was named MVP of the playoffs.

It was the second Stanley Cup in 4 seasons for the Blackhawks.

Rozsival joined them over the summer as a free agent. He had previously played for Phoenix, the New York Rangers and Pittsubrgh.

He spent 2 seasons in the WHL as a Bronco where he collected 108 points over 134 games.
