Elmwood Golf and Country Club head professional Brennan Rumancik is into a semi-final matchup of the PGA of Sask Tour Championship bracket, after winning two matches on Day 1 yesterday.

Up at Dakota Dunes Golf Links outside of Saskatoon, Rumancik came into the two-day match play event as the second-seeded golfer out of 16 pros from around the province.

Rumancik won 4&3 over 15-seed Jamie Windjack in the opening round.

He continued the rhythm in the quarter-finals, defeating John Greenough 2&1.

Now, Rumancik is set to face sixth-seeded Kevin Dietz out of Regina, who upset his third-seeded opponent in the quarters.

Rumancik and Dietz are off the tee as of 9:04 a.m.

We'll have updates from Rumancik's semi-final match, and, if a win is secured, the final as well on Wednesday morning.
