Swift Current's Joel Rumpel and the University of Wisconsin Badgers are out of the NCAA Division 1 hockey tournament.
They fell 6-1 to third ranked UMass-Lowell in the Northeast Regional semifinals.
It was still a good season for Wisconsin as they won the WCHA Frozen Five. Rumpel was the MVP of that tournament.
Rumpel finished his second NCAA season with a 1.96 goals against average and .929 save percentage.
He once played for the Midget AAA Home Hardware Legionnaires and spent his junior career with Penticton in the BCHL.
