Denver beat them 3-2 in overtime Sunday to take their NCAA Division 1 hockey best of three playoff series 2 games to 1.
Rumpel stopped 97 of the 102 shots he faced in the Wisconsin goal throughout the three games of the series. He had a shut out in game 1.
The former Home Hardware Legionnaire also won his conference rookie of the week award three times this season.
