The K-Motel Midget AA Hurricanes prepare for their season opener against the Notre Dame Hounds Saturday at the Credit Union iplex.

 

 

Minor hockey is well underway in the southwest, with four local teams in action on Saturday.
 
The Home Hardware Midget AAA Legionnaires are still looking for their first win of the season, as they dropped a 5-2 decision to the Beardy's Blackhawks on the road. Matthew Audette and Jordan Wittman scored for the Legionnaires, who play the Hawks again today.

The Diamond Energy Female Midget Wildcats opened the season with a 6-1 loss to the Regina Rebels on the road. Delaine Feil scored the only goal for the Wildcats, who face the Rebels again today in the Queen City.
 
The Kabos Bantam AA Raiders beat Melville 5-2 on the road to open the new Saskatchewan Bantam AA League season, on the strength of a hat trick and an assist from Kole Lind, and two goals and a helper from Colton Adam. The Raiders head to Yorkton today. 

The K-Motel Midget AA Hurricanes scored a 2-1 win over the Notre Dame Hounds in their season opener yesterday. The Hurricanes trailed 1-0 after 40 minutes, but came back with goals from Keegan Braaten and Jayden Roosen in the third to take the victory. They travel to Wilcox today to take on the hounds again.
