Fireworks mark the end of Scott Schiffner's high-flying 8-second ride on "Pop Evil" in the championship round of the Cody Snyder Invitational PBR Event

There was some awesome bull riding at the Cody Snyder Invitational PBR Event last night, and arguably the best ride of the night was the final one.

Scott Schiffner of Strathmore, Alberta, scored an 86 in the championship round for a combined total of 172 to take home the title in the inaugural event, clinching it with a high-flying ride on "Pop Evil".

You can watch Schiffner's final ride on Swift Current Online's Facebook Page.

As for the PBR event itself, a first for Swift Current, Schiffner says the atmosphere here was amazing:

Tyler Thomson, the current leader of the PBR Canada standings, was a close second with a 171.5, and Chad Besplug took third with an 86.

Tanner Allemand of Shaunavon did not have a good ride in front of the home crowd, as he was unfortunately bucked off shortly after he left the chute.
