The Swift Current Broncos continued their recent trend of quickly locking up 2020 WHL Bantam Draft picks on Monday.

The first four selections the Broncos made in the April 22 draft have now signed WHL Standard Player Agreements, after defenseman Liam Saxberg inked a deal.

Saxberg was the fourth player picked by Swift Current, coming off the board 60th overall and in the third round.

The 5-foot-10, 160-pound back-end prospect had 23 goals and 61 total points in 46 combined regular-season and playoff games this past season with the Winnipeg Bantam AAA Warriors.

His Warriors club finished first in the Winnipeg Tier 1 Bantam AAA league, topping fellow signed Broncos prospects Rylan Gould and Grayson Burzynski and their Monarchs in the final.

Check out the Broncos' draft recap story for comments on Saxberg from Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Dean Brockman.
