The Swift Current Soapbox Association is hoping the weather will hold today.

     Weather permitting, the Swift Current Soapbox Derby will be taking place this afternoon, after being rained out last weekend.

     The annual race will take place in the city's downtown core.

     If it starts to rain the races will be cancelled as the water can compromise the breaks on the racers.
