The tough start to the season for the Shaunavon Shadows 9-man football team continued.

Trying to rebound from an opening week loss to Maple Creek, the Shadows dropped their second straight contest to begin the season, falling 21-7 to Lumsden.

At the half, the game was tied 7-7, however, the Shadows were unable to generate any points in the third and fourth quarters.

The defending provincial champions will now have the week off, before getting another crack at the win column.

The Shadows will return to action September 23rd, when they visit Indian Head.
