Just like their senior team, the Shaunavon Bantam Badgers are trying to win double championships.

They've advanced to the Provincial C finals against Birch Hills with a two game combined score 16-6 win over Southey. They've also taken a 1-0 lead in their best-of-three league final against Assinboia.

“We got a group of pretty good group of kids," said Coach Vince Stevenson."17 kids and 11 are first year, but it's a really good group a really good room, and just get along so good and they kind of motiveate each other and feed off of that.”

The Bantam Badgers are 37-1 so far this season. However, they only won game 1 of the league finals 1-0 with a goal in the final few minutes.

Coach Stevenson said the league and provincial finals are very different situations.

“We've seen these guys (Assiniboia) before so we kind of know what these guys have to offer versus Provincials where we don't see these teams so it's a little bit more nerve racking (we) don't know what we're up against”
