Swift Current Pee Wee ‘AAA’ 57’s Riley Bowers and Rylan Hildebrand, and Team Sask ended round robin play in solid fashion yesterday at Baseball Canada’s 13U National Championships.

A 10-5 win over Prince Edward Island saw Hildebrand record his best game of the tournament yet. The first baseman had two hits, two RBI and a walk in two at-bats.

Bowers, recorded a hit as well while playing third base, before pitching the final inning of the contest to secure the victory.

At 3-1 after round robin play, Team Sask played this morning against Manitoba in the medal round, winning 7-6.

The pair of Pee Wee 57’s was held hit-less, with Bowers recording a walk and later coming around to score in the game.

The win secured a berth in the gold medal game to be played tonight against Ontario 1.
