Broncos goaltender Steffen Soberg is back in Norway and is a major question mark for this season.
Soberg was scheduled to go to Washington Capitals training camp but instead returned home.
A Capitals spokesman told the local media Soberg had returned home to decide whether he would play in Europe or North America this season.
The Broncos say Soberg left the team to deal with personal issues. They are hopeful he will return.
Swift Current selected Soberg 6th overall in this summer's CHL import draft. He committed to play for them and suited up for the Black & White game before sustaining a minor knee injury.
The Broncos are off until games against the Raiders in Prince Albert and Shaunavon on the weekend.
