Broncos Goalie Eetu Laurikainen has certainly made a case for himself on the world stage.

After two solid performances in Team Finland's two tune-up games for the World Juniors, he made the final roster for the team in the upcoming tournament. Laurikainen stopped eight shots in a 3-2 win over Canada on Thursday, then stopped 16 in a 5-1 victory over the USA on Saturday, playing the second half of both games.

The 19-year-old is turning the heads of some hockey analysts with his play this weekend, with Globe and Mail's James Mirtle saying Laurikainen may be the surprise of the tournament.

Canada, meanwhile, finished off their pre-tournament schedule with a 2-1 shootout win over Sweden on Saturday, earning a split of the two exhibition games in Finland.

The World Juniors open on Boxing Day in Ufa, Russia with Canada taking on Germany, while Finland battles Latvia.
