The Swift Current Pee Wee Sonic Girls Softball team played to a 1-3 record at the Pee Wee 'C' Provincial Championship.

Swift Current got off to a strong start at the event with a 17-9 win over Humboldt on Friday.

However, a three-game Saturday proved to be a tough task for the Sonic.

Swift Current fell 16-9 to Redvers, before running into a strong pitcher and tough Macklin squad, who got the better of the Sonic 7-0.

The Swift Current based team then battled Unity in a must-win contest.

Tied 3-3 after four innings of play, Unity pulled away with over the final three to win 11-3.

In the end, Tisdale claimed the provincial title by beating Macklin in the final.
