Results have now been made official for the CCA Rodeo's stop in Shaunavon this past weekend.
The two-day Boomtown Stampede saw southwest competitors rack up 11 top-three finishes over ten events, while battling at Ron Winquist Arena.
Saddle Bronc:
Timothy Costello (Swift Current) finished in a tie for second with a score of 76. Costello's effort earned his $522.45.
Bareback:
Brady Bertram (Maple Creek) handily took the event, as his score of 76 sat three points clear of a two-way tie for second place. Bertram won $548.10.
Bull Riding:
Chad Hartman (Lancer) placed second out of three riders, earning a total of $660.00 with his score of 81.
Steer Wrestling:
Riley Hayes (Val Marie) finished at the top of the leader board and a half-second ahead of second place. Hayes won the event with a time of five seconds flat, winning $835.20.
Meanwhile Chad Hantelman (Kyle) ended up in third place with a time of 5.6 seconds. The mark was good for $547.20.
Ladies Barrel Racing:
Krystal Grad (Gravelbourg) earned a four-figure pay day for finishing in the top spot. A time of 16.75 seconds gifted her $1,097.10.
In second place was Karli Cowie (Mankota), who timed out at 16.95 seconds. The mark earned her $954.
Team Roping:
The duo of Tanner Jones (Maple Creek) - Heeler / Taylor Wudrich (Bow Island, AB) cruised to first place in the event, clearing the field by 1.6 seconds. Jones and Wudrich earned $2,235.60 with their time of 6.5 seconds.
In third place was the teams of Blaine Oddan (Swift Current) - Header / JC Davies. They finished with a mark of 8.3 seconds, taking home $1,652.40.
Junior Girls Barrel Racing:
Peyton Mastad (McCord) was the blink of an eye away from taking the top spot, ultimately finishing in second place. She finished four-hundredths of a second back of first with a time of 17.17 seconds. She earned $175.50.
Novice Bull Riding:
Zane Tully (Consul) crushed the competition in the event, winning by 14 points. He scored 67, to claim $215 even.
