Swift Current Broncos forward and Gull Lake product Justin Spagrud is navigating his way through his first WHL season.
With some injuries lately Spagrud has found himself in the lineup every night and with additional icetime, and he's just trying to make the most of it.
"You've got to come into every game with the same attitude, and work your hardest," Spagrud said, "the harder you work, the more ice you get, so I just tried to make the most of the opportunity."
Spagrud was used to being in a top six role at all levels of hockey, but he knows just like any other WHL rookie, he has to earn his icetime.
"You've just got to get better everyday, and when you get the opportunity you have to make the most of it and stay in the line-up.
Spagrud has 5 points in 26 games as a rookie so far.
The Broncos are off until Friday the 28th when they host Medcine Hat.
