Some mistakes in the field proved costly as the Swift Current Midget AA Indians fell 9-6 to the Regina Wolfpack in AAA SPBL action yesterday.

Coach Neil Hogg doesn't believe the team's offence is at fault.

"I think they bats are coming around" said Hogg "If we can just get our defence a little bit better, I think our pitching is coming around better, so if we can just play a little better defence behind them and give them a little hand, I think we'll be doing OK.

He says they were in it until late in the game.

"We hung in there and played pretty well today. Let it get away a little bit in the last inning and gave them some runs. They executed a pretty good safety squeeze on us and scored a run and they got a couple after that."

Hogg added that despite the loss he's generally pleased with the direction of the team at the moment.
