Special Olympic Swim Meet

Special Olympics Swift Current participated in a swim meet on Sunday in Regina.

Swift Current had 6 different athletes compete in a variety of different races, with each athlete finding the podium.

Katie Durant had an impressive showing, placing 1st in all five of the races she competed in.

Hailey Osborne also had good results, finishing 2nd in three of her five swims. Rounding out Swift Current's female competitors, Jenae Ruetz finished 2nd twice and 3rd three times. Ruetz was also 1 of 4 Special Olympic swimmers from the province to be named to Team Sask to represent the province at the Western Canada Games in August.

The three men swimming for Swift Current also had success, as each one of them swam their way to at least one 1st place finish.

David Philip finished in the top 3 four times, twice finishing 1st, once 2nd and once 3rd.

Tyler Servant picked up three 1st place finishes in his five races, and Harold Robinson came in 1st twice and 3rd once in his five swims.
