Speedy Creek Racing action from last season at Kinetic Exhibition Park

The new Speedy Creek Racing season unofficially gets underway this weekend.

Modifieds racer Colin Johnston says they're pumped to be getting back on the track, and they have been working feverishly to get everything ready to go for the new season, which opens on May 1st at Kinetic Exhibition Park with the Streets, Hobbies, Minis and the new entry-level "Thunder-Trucks" class.

Fans can get a sneak peek of the racing action this weekend with the Tech Day at the Swift Current Mall parking lot from 11:00am to 4:00pm today, and the Test and Tune at the track at 2:00pm Sunday, and both events are free for the public. Johnston says the Tech Day gives the drivers a chance to pre-check their rides for the season and show them off to fans, and Sunday is the only chance to try out what they've worked on all winter long.
