At the 12-team York City Classic in Yorkton over the weekend, the Swift Current Comp Sr Colts Basketball finished in fifth place.

The Sr Colts averaged 86 points-per-game on their way to a 2-1 record.

Game 1 saw a 79-53 win over the Lumsden Devils, as Braedon Friesen put up 20, Scott Joseph had 18, and Logan Fritzke scored 15.

The Sr. Colts' loss came in Game 2, as the Weyburn Eagles proved too tough in a 93-78 finish. In the loss Friesen poured in 38, while Fritzke had 16 and Scott reached double digits as well with 10.

In their final game of the tournament, the Colts reached triple digits in a 101-65 blowout win over Moose Jaw Vanier. Once again Friesen led the way on offense with 31. Austin Collins put up 16, and Fritzke added 15.

The Sr. Colts are next off to Prince Albert for the three-day invitational tournament at St. Mary High School. The tournament runs February 8-10.
